Breathing Room, Andy Stanley & Unexpected, Christine Caine

Breathing Room, Andy Stanley

In our attempt to get the most out of life, it’s easy to lose control of our lives. For most of us, breathing room feels more like a luxury than a necessity. Join us for this no homework study as we learn how to create breathing room in our schedules, our finances, and our relationships.

Unexpected, Christine Caine

Life is an unpredictable journey full of twists and turns. The good news is that while we don’t always know what’s going to happen, we can trust that God uses everything in our lives as an invitation to rely on him more deeply and completely. Most of us have been trained to fear the unexpected and want everything to be “under control,” God wants us to anticipate the unexpected with a faith-filled perspective rooted in trust. We can move from a life filled with fear, control, and feeling stuck to one full of hope, faith, and trust. We can still expect our God to be good and do good. We can trust God in the unpredictable circumstances of life by anticipating, welcoming, and even embracing the unexpected.

Looking for Lovely, Anne F. Downs

We are looking for lovely because we are looking for God.

As Christians, we are not promised lives of ease. Often it takes just a small moment of beauty to regain hope and continue on when life is chaotic and unpredictable. Only when we learn to spot the lovely in the midst of hardship can we experience the transcendent peace of God that keeps us persevering when we want to give up. Join us as we examine the lives of ordinary people in the bible – fishermen, farmers, musicians, women – to discover how they sought beauty in their everyday lives to hold on to the hope of God’s perfect timing.

  • Discover beauty in the mundane and difficult moments in life
  • Encourage a more personal relationship with God as you discover scriptural truths
  • Learn to laugh through times of perseverance and discover the beauty of the journey
  • Trust God’s timing as he makes everything beautiful in His time
