What is Bayside Groups?

Here at Bayside, we believe that community is an essential part of your faith. That's why we do Small Groups! You can gather people you already know to start a group and create community or join one of our existing groups to find community.

Lead A Group

Life is better together! Small Groups create a space for people to intentionally share their lives with others, grow spiritually together, and encourage each other through the highs and lows of life. Leading a group involves guiding and nurturing people in their spiritual growth journey. As a leader, your primary role is to create a safe and supportive environment where people can grow closer with God, his Word, and each other. And we're with you every step of the way!

FAQs

Small Groups are facilitated in groups of about 8-14 people over ten weeks. Groups meet for approximately one-two hours each week for discussion and experiences centered around Biblical and Christian content.

For two of the weekly meetings, all groups gather together at the beginning of the two hours for teaching from the pastor on the following:
  • Discipleship Vision Kick Off (Week 1: September 8th 5-7pm)
  • Worship Celebration (End of Week 10: TBD)
In addition to the weekly group meetings, groups are encouraged to meet to explore experiences like:
  • Intentional Prayer
  • Intentional Service
  • Intentional Confession
Whatever time works best for your group! During the first meeting your group should decide on what the best schedule is for yourselves. Please note: We are currently working on a plan to have any Sermon-based small groups in need of CMP (Children’s Ministry Provided) on site from 5-7pm. If you are in need of CMP you will be placed in one of these groups.
Our Discipleship team will prayerfully place participants into groups of about 8-14 people. We group by age, marital status, and life stage. We form groups of married couples, singles, college and young adults. These groups ultimately depend upon the demographic of those who registered. A substantial amount of prayer and thoughtfulness goes into creating groups which we think will provide the best experience for all people who attend. While we do our best to honor requests when possible, we cannot guarantee that we will be able to accommodate all friend or leader requests.
Groups have a plethora of resources available to them. Including Sermon-based curriculum, RightNowMedia access and other Bayside study guide content.
